Storyteller Value Dede

The meaning of the word 'vakıf' is to share, give, and do good without expecting anything in return. Our play aims to strengthen the universal value of doing good without expecting anything in return, while also contributing to 'values' education. To draw our students' attention to the topic of doing good without expecting anything in return, it has been gamified with stories of interesting foundations established in our history. Written and performed by Çetin Azer Aras, an artist from the Ankara State Theatre, our play has been performed 360 times in almost every province, district, and many villages of our country on behalf of the General Directorate of Foundations. It has also been staged dozens of times abroad in Greece, Bulgaria, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It has been performed five times at international theater festivals in various provinces of the state theater. It continues to be performed in Ted colleges located in many provinces of our country. Our play appeals to audiences of all ages, from seven to seventy, and is an interactive performance. The Storyteller Value Dede play is staged in a musical and dance format using the traditional Turkish theater technique of meddah acting. Written and directed by: Çetin Azer ARAS
